YouTube has a ton - and Google Video is a good place to look for '55 videos.

"Two Lane Blacktop" - the '55 Chevy movie.

"Mischief" . . .
. . . can haunt you.

They keep coming back . . .

And of course . . .
. . . comedy in always in season.

Yep - even Harry drove a '55 Chevy across the country.

... and let's not forget the one and only "The Great Santini". While this movie was not about '55 Chevy's, it most definitely had them in the movie - I know because mine was an 'extra' in the film - parked along the main street of Beaufort, S.C. when the Santini family rode into town (in a nice '55 station wagon, I should mention). I had a 210 2-door at the time.

I was not aware of this one. Now I have to go find it . . .

Alright, alright - not a movie about '55's by any means... but the classic style of the ol' girl fits right in with the tremendous movie. Comic fans have known about Sin City for some time, but when the comic world became real, everyone took notice. The film uses author Frank Miller's original graphic novels as scripts. Done in black and white with inlaid cuts of color - it surprises and entertains.

Many Thanks to Karen (you know who you are) for pointing me to this gem.
"Mom Jeans" - from Saturday Night Live...

And now for something different... Roadhouse 66.
I found this film while browsing the shelves at a a small store in Chicago last week. I knew the '57 was in it but not the '55.
Simplistic. Predictible. Escapist. Fun.
While Judge Reinhold and Willem Dafoe act in it, the '57 and the '55 are the real stars of the movie. An off-beat film good for a ninety minute diversion, Roadhouse 66 is a B-movie with future stars and classic cars.<br />
What more could one want...?

Capote (2005) ... definitely NOT a car movie. But it does contain a '55.
Check out the movie poster...

[Thompson is speaking to a crowd of college students]
Questioner: I was just wondering if you could tell me, um, if you thought drugs and alcohol would make me a better writer.
Dr. Hunter S. Thompson: That's a good question. Let me see...
[the audience cheers as Thompson lights a joint. A few people throw joints onto the stage]
Dr. Hunter S. Thompson: In my case, you know, I hate to advocate drugs or liquor, violence, insanity to anyone. But in my case it's worked.
It
does have a '55 in it...? A picture is worth a thousand words.
