. . . Graduation Time

The sun is out and the helmet is ready...

Our son graduated from college on Friday, July 25. We are very proud of him.

So proud that we all piled into the car for the short trip from Maryland to Kentucky to watch him accept his diploma. We were ready for a break and this was an excellent time. Weather was perfect, albeit a bit warm for some. We attended his graduation, met some of his friends, and generally spent a good week touring new wineries, restaurants, shops, and small towns around central Kentucky.

I even had a chance to spend a few minutes with dear mom.

On the way back to Maryland we ran into one of the largest contingents of hot rods I have seen in all my years traveling the roads between Maryland and Kentucky. I even saw two '55 Chevy Belair's being trailered.  Somewhere south of us there must have been one heck of a show.

We also saw a ton of motorcycles - all over the states. Great weekend for them.

Did I mention my son and I now ride?

He has an '08 Kawasaki Ninja 650R that fits him like a glove.

I have the '08 Harley Dyna Low Ride that I've already broken my collarbone falling off.

Now he rides ... and I watch.

Healing time.

I'm jealous.
