I finished watching another episode of OverHaulin' tonight, the show where Chip Foose and crew take an old car and refurbish it - and I mean really refurbish it.
Last week I watch a 1956 Cadillac get a royal treatment - many parts were remade and she went from a pretty nice old driver to a royal lady.
Tonight he overhauled a '56 Bel Air that had been in the owner's hands for over forty years. She was special and Chip felt it. He took real care of the car; replacing sheet metal, wiring, trim and everything else that needed work. In the end, she looked like the picture above.
"Attention to the details," said the owner, when asked what was his first thought when he saw the finished car.
"It looks better now than it ever has," he said.
If I ever have a '55 Bel Air of my own again, I'd want Chip Foose to OverHaul it.
The owner of the Bel Air said "A dream that is never realized becomes a fantasy. You [Chip] have made a fantasy become a dream."
I fantasize.
I want to dream.
Great job, Chip Foose and team.
